Not Me Monday

I have NOT been looking forward to this all weekend long. I most certainly did NOT make a list so hopefully I wouldn't forget anything!!

So here goes my second attempt at "Not Me! Monday" I hope you have as much fun reading it as I have writing it.

At the beginning of the week Will came down with a WRETCHED diaper rash. Now I am pretty diligent about keeping some type of barrier on his bum at ALL times. Especially if I notice what could possibly be a rash of some type. This one however came out of the blue and it was rearing its nasty little head! So we tried putting this and that and everything in the medicine cabinet on it. Finally, I gave up. I conceded. I decided I would NOT let my handsome little 18 month old son run around the house in a pair of his much older sister's Sponge Bob Square Pants panties! His father was NOT completely mortified when he came in from work. I was NOT 100% satisfied. Note to self, air doesn't ALWAYS help a rash.

On Thursday, Will and I did NOT spend three hours in the hospital for his 18 month check-up and an appointment for myself resulting in an X-ray that was USELESS! I also absolutely did NOT let my son run around our back yard a majority of the afternoon in nothing but a t-shirt, socks, and shoes. That's right, my son would NEVER run around outside with a bare bum flashing all of the neighbors. They do it in Europe so it MUST be ok. Right??

This week, we also went to playgroup, TWICE!! Tuesday ok. Will had a nice time playing with Miriam and Izzy. On Wednesday, however, there were a few children who did NOT need to be taught ANY type of manners at all...along with their mother's!

While shopping for some flower's to plant in hanging baskets for Mother's Day, I did NOT break my sweet little daughters heart by telling her marigolds aren't exactly my favorite plant ever. Though I have since learned that they work great near tomato plants as a natural bug repellent. We will NOT be planting some very soon to make Morgan and our tomatoes very happy!

Today while at the hospital for Will's surgery, my lovely husband did NOT tell everyone in the waiting room that our son was there for a vasectomy. I did NOT laugh so hard I all but needed to change undies! I was holding it together rather well until he said that "Will was just there to have his APPENDIX snipped." I think he meant appendage. Though using the word "penis" would have been 100% appropriate in this case. Once Will was out of surgery and finally home, our first diaper change was a doozy. For his entire life Will has urinated down and to the side. Well, now after his circumcision, he pees in a different direction, UP. We are talking so far up that he hit his face. Mike and I were NOT laughing so hard WE almost peed too. It was one of those moments where you look at one another and say "really, what cane we do?"

My poor little boy still has a nasty rash that we WILL be calling the doctor about this week. He is currently sleeping off the anesthesia after his procedure today. Miss Morgan just walked in the door from school and we are about to do the homework deed for the day.
