Beautifull Day

Hello all,

It is an amazingly beautiful day out today. Why am I sitting here writing about it instead of being out IN it? Will is napping. That's my excuse. What's yours?

The sun is shining. The breeze is blowing just right. You can walk out the door and smell my roses in the air. AH. The grass is bright green and cool on your bare feet. It's just lovely.

This week has been an exhausting one for me. Will had surgery on Monday and though he has recovered very well and rather quickly, he has been a pretty needy little guy the last few days. Sometimes he just wants to sit in my lap on the floor and read books. Now for anybody who knows, that is just NOT Will. This little guy is BUSY! All the time!! Things are slowly getting back to normal. He has finally discovered the game of "dinosaur." You know, where you ROAR and he runs?! It is currently the favorite game. He even tries to "hide" from you. It's sweet because he acts just like an ostrich. The whole, I'm hiding my eyes so YOU can't see me, thing. Yes, I love it!!

Will has also discovered giving hugs. He will just come up to Mike and I, put his head on our shoulder or leg or whatever body part he can get to, lay his little head on you and pat your shoulder/back at the same time. he has become such a little snuggle bug and I adore every second of it!!! I know it will not last forever. As soon as he hits kindergarten I am sure it will be WAY over.

Morgan is doing very well. She has started reading "chapter books." Do you remember when you got to that stage? She thinks she is just top notch! I must agree. We have been having some trouble in math but it is mainly because she wants to rush and go play. It is easy for her if she will sit still long enough to THINK about her answer before writing it. She now has an old school desk to sit at and do her homework. This desk has officially been around the neighborhood. Tricia gave it to Valerie and Valerie gave it to us. I think we will be holding on to this one for a while. I am almost tempted to spray paint it red. Currently it is green. Either way, it is perfect for Morgan to do her school work at and we love it.

Morgan finished her work. Will woke up. We went out side. We played and played and played! Morgan built a "fort" with the boys out back. Will and I spent some time in Valerie's back yard and ended up coming home with a new truck. It is a Little Tike's truck, like the cars that kids ride in, but ours is a truck. He adores it!! I MUST take pictures and post them soon.

I started writing this post sometime after 1pm and it is now almost 11pm! It has taken me forever to be able to get back and finish this. But it was worth it. I got to spend some great time outside with both the children and they were just lovely. However, it is past my bedtime and we have an early morning.
