Well Here is how my Mother's Day weekend went. First, I actually got to sleep until 9am. I was greeted by two pink roses, white chocolate chip pancakes, bacon and coffee. Will got me an Elmo card! And Morgan wrote the sweetest little letter I think I have ever read! She was awful proud and I was too. Mike's card did NOT make me cry this year. Has he lost his touch or am I just desensitized?? Either way, it was VERY sweet and I do love him so!
After breakfast and a little relaxing we headed outside. I got a chance to weed all of my flower beds. I also got to re pot my petunias! They needed it badly!! Mike, Morgan and Will helped pick out a new blue/purple plant that we put in a hanging basket this morning also. I also got to FINALLY put a stake up for my tomato plant!! I have been meaning to do this for a while. It only takes a few seconds, but I just have not had those few seconds recently.
Mike also did something I have been asking him to do for a long time. Hang pictures!! I know it sounds really silly, but each time we move it takes forever to get them back up. I hate asking him to do this, so I normally don't. I just try to do it myself. This time, I just haven't bothered because he has been really busy and so have I. but Saturday evening, he volunteered to hang them all for me. Here are some snap shots of my two favorites.
Tomorrow is going to be a difficult day for Will and I. He is FINALLY having his reconstructive surgery in the morning. He is not to have anything by mouth after midnight tonight. This is going to be difficult because Will has been waking every night about 2-3 am and needing some milk to go back to sleep. Our "plan" is to wake him about 11:30 tonight and give him some milk. Hopefully that will hold him until after surgery. He goes in about 10 in the morning and its almost a 2 hour procedure. We will HOPEFULLY be leaving the hospital mid afternoon tomorrow. I am hoping to take my computer with me tomorrow to be able to update from the hospital. How would THAT be? A "Not Me Monday!" post from the waiting room? I am sure I am NOT the first. That is SO going on my list for tomorrow! Anyhow, as soon as the nurses and Doctors let ME know, I will do my best to let YOU know. We greatly appreciate any and all prayers headed our direction.
I hope you all have had a fabulous Mother's day! Till then y'all.
