The Weekend Update

This weekend was SO much fun. It feels like we are finally starting to find some friends here. On Friday evening we were invited out to dinner. It was nice, though I will not order the Calamari Marinara again. We will be going back to this restaurant for sure.

On Saturday we got out of bed early and went for breakfast. We went to a local spot here that Mike insisted was well worth it. Oh he was sooooo right! Will enjoyed pancakes, eggs and hash browns. Morgan had the biggest Belgian Waffle I have ever seen! Mike had the normal pancake type breakfast. I had the steak skillet. I know it sounds fancy but it was hash browns, steak, eggs and a plate of two pancakes!!! We were ALL beyond miserable when we left and not a one of us finished our meal!

On Saturday afternoon we had a birthday party to go to. It started about 4pm and was right next door. The neighbors had rented a bounce house for the kids. It was SO much fun. Morgan played and played. Will actually walked on grass and (drum roll please) PLAYED WITH SAND!! This is a huge deal for us because normally when he looks at sand he screams! The kids (and adults) played until about 10 pm! Don't worry, Will was in bed around 9pm and our monitor actually picked up in the neighbors yard.

While all of us were playing Jack had some friends over too. Two of our neighbors brought their dogs over. Oscar, Charlie and Jack ran a million miles I do believe. I cannot speak for the other dogs, but Jack slept like a rock that night!!

On Sunday we attempted to go to church. We were dressed and out the door in great time. We got to church on time and had a great seat, right in the back by the door. For some odd reason I guess we KNEW we would need it. I asked one of the ushers if there was a nursery for babies, she said no but there was a children's church. Grand!! Morgan would be happy. We would just have to suffer with Will. Well, Will was just NOT having the whole "sit still and be quiet" thing. Thankfully we were by the door and when everyone got up to shake hands, we slipped out. We made it past the morning announcements. Its progress, right??

The rest of the day Sunday we spent doing a little laundry and spending a ton of time outside with our neighbors. The bounce house was still in full swing and the kids were having a ball!! I was telling one of the neighbors about our morning adventure at church. She informed me that there IS a nursery and explained where it is at!! I was a bit annoyed because I really wanted to be in service yesterday. I just felt the need to be IN a church yesterday. But now I know and we will try again another Sunday.

Today is the official beginning of Morgan's Spring Break. It is nasty and rainy out. We are talking tornadic activity nasty. The Oxygen company is supposed to be coming to get ALL of the equipment today. I hope they make it safely but I want this stuff out of my house SO bad!! I have a few errands to run today, so I am hoping the storms are over and out of here by mid afternoon. I hope you all have had a great weekend.

Have a wonderful Monday. Till then y'all.
