Through the night Morgan seemed to be just dandy, no fever!! Will woke with the highest fever he has had in a LONG time, 101.6. Mike also had a high fever again this morning. It goes with out saying that Mike and Will both had Doctor's appointments this morning.
It snowed here ALL night and we had a ice/snow covered roads and everything else this morning. Getting to the hospital on time was pretty easy since it is only a few blocks away. Will saw one of the Pediatricians that we LOVE! He is currently on Augmentin for a sinus infection and she decided since his ears look GREAT and there is no wheezing, it is OBVIOUSLY something viral. I agreed.
While we were there Morgan coughed a few times and rubbed her nose. The Doctor took one look at her and asked if she were on any allergy meds. I told her no and she had never been diagnosed. She pulled up Morgan's records, the military ones anyhow, and noticed she was prone to strep throat. She also noticed the dark circles under Morgans eyes that have always been there. She decided that Morgan also has allergies and put her on Claritin once a day.
On to Mike. Poor thing. He is currently at the hospital in a treatment room getting an IV of fluids. He has been tested for strep, flu and kidney infection. His white count is up. He is also already on an antibiotic (Bactrim). His fever has seemed to top out at 103. Hopefully things will start looking better for him. I think their final decision was he has a type of viral flu. Go freaking figure!!
The kids are out of school today. Mike is going to be in bed all day. Will is going to be driving me mad all day long. Morgan is home and we all know what fun it is having a 7yr old at home when she is board to death. All I want to do is take a nap because I know it is going to be another LONG evening!! Wish me luck.
