Yesterday, Tuesday, we had some Doctors appointments in Portsmouth. Will got his March Synagis shot. It went rather well considering we waited over an HOUR for the lady to give the shots. It seems there was a lack of communication somewhere and my screaming child was the catalyst needed to get the ball rolling. Oh well, either way we got our shot and will be back next month for the last one of the season. Maybe the last one ever! Wouldn't that be nice!? OK and a little bit scary too! I must admit.
We also had our ENT appointment. Will weighed in at 10.5 Kilograms (23 pounds and a few ounces). I was worried our surgery would be canceled because Will has had this NASTY cough/snot thing going on. Our ENT is amazing and I just love her. She listened to his chest and assured me that it was NOWHERE in his chest! It is strictly in his nose and sinuses. She could even see the crud in his ear, YUCK! But, anyhow, our surgery is still on for this Friday morning. Will is one of the first patients so we are figuring we will be home well before noon. She told me all about the process and even said if his sinuses were still gunky she would suck out as much as she could. Nasty I know, but if it makes the crud go away faster, right??
This morning was physical therapy. Will pulled his normal "I want nobody but mommy" stuff. I had to explain to our therapist that if she wanted to get the BEST work out with Will in then she needed to try extra hard to be ON TIME! It seems she has been about 15 minutes late since the start and I have hit my limit with it. It is unprofessional. And it isn't fair to Will when he has to work so hard when all he really wants to do is take a nap!! She assured me she would try much harder next time. Next time being in 2 weeks!! We have pushed his therapy to two weeks a month because there really seems to be nothing she can teach him he doesn't already know. Will is more about perfecting the things he DOES know how to do. He can squat (what we are working on now) he just doesn't CARE to do so. He can walk independently, he just thinks crawling is a BILLION times faster. He can stoop down and pick something up off the floor but why should he when its so much more fun to lay down there and play with it? Get my drift?? So those are our basic goals for the next few weeks and if I know Will he is going to wait until it is HIS idea to do any of these things. That is OK with me. He doesn't NEED to know how to squat until he becomes the catcher of his baseball team or decides to be the next Olympic weight lifting champ! So we shall see how it goes.
Anyhow, that's all for now. I hope you all have a great Wednesday.
Till then y'all.
