Not Me! Monday

Ok, so I didn't have a list of NOT ME! things to post about, but I sure do now!! And why wait until next Monday? What fun would that be?? So here is the deal. Mind you ALL of this happened in less than 2 hours!

I did NOT luck up and get my dog a last minute groomers appointment and then couldn't find his shot record! I DID NOT put my son in clothing that was WAY too big so we could rush out the door. Upon arriving at the groomers I DID NOT notice I had left my wallet, containing ALL of those VITAL things (you know drivers license and military ID, oh yeah, and MONEY!) at home in the diaper bag! My kids were NOT screaming for lunch and Will most certainly DID NOT need a nap! Once back to post I did NOT worry about how on Earth we were going to get back home! Because WHO ON EARTH needs a Military ID (or some sort of picture ID) to get onto post?? NOT ME! Nope. All the guards know me...HA! So we DO NOT wait almost 30 minutes for a POLICE ESCORT home! Yup, that's right!! I am THAT COOL! Once home, I grabbed those vital documents and escaped without a ticket. Lucky me!! Off we go to get the (NOT SO) perfect little angels some food. I did NOT pull through the bank first and get my kiddos some suckers (with a deposit of course) to snack on while waiting in the drive-thru line. I would NEVER let them have a sucker before lunch!! My precious toddler DID NOT take his sisters sucker out of her mouth and bite it to bits! Then proceed to spit it out all over his much too big shirt and car seat. He would NEVER do such a thing! Once arriving at Burger King I DID NOT strip his shirt off in the parking lot and replace it with one that has been in the floor board of the truck for some time now. It fit and it was clean, give me a break! Once inside, my toddler DID NOT scream through the line and have every soldier in there swallowing their food whole! I DID NOT spill my drink on the way to the table. I am an adult for Pete's sake! And William absolutely DID NOT spite coke all down his nice, semi-clean, white Polo shirt from the floor of the truck. He also DID NOT cry the entire way home. My perfect little angels are now quietly playing or napping peacefully so mommy can have a TIME OUT!!

So here is my NOT ME! Monday post. I have not written one in a while. But TRUST me, my life has been full of NOT ME's!! Here are the most memorable from this week.

On Friday morning some friends and I decided to WALK, yes I said it, WALK to the carnival here on post. Mind you we live on the BACK side of post and the carnival is at the FRONT side of post. We stopped half way to get the kids a nice cold drink. I most certainly DID NOT forget my wallet at HOME! This is a huge deal being on post, you need and ID for everything. So here I am in line, sweat pouring off of my sweet 7 yr old and I have no money! Thank you Liz for Morgans drink. Now this normally would be no big deal if we were going HOME but we were going to the CARNIVAL!! What do you NEED at a carnival?? MONEY! Thank goodness Mike was already there and had plenty of cash for our adventure!

After our fun time at the carnival all of our friends husbands drove them home. My brilliant self decided to....WALK! Yes, it is the Eco friendly, healthy thing to do. But did you know it was NOT in the mid 90's with high humidity this wonderful day?? So, with Will in the jogging stroller, I walked all the way home! And for some odd reason, I DID NOT decide to take the LONG way home!! Nope Not me, never ever!! In total it was NO WHERE NEAR 6 miles. NO WAY this fat girl walked that far in one day!!

Saturday should be better right? Yeah. Not so much! If you have not ready about our IHOP experience...go back a post or two and check it out. That is a whole 'nother story!! And not a pretty one might I add.

Other things I have NOT done this week: run the washing machine with NO laundry in it, let my toddler run nude in the back yard while new neighbors move into the house next to us, thought about selling my toddler on Ebay because he is perfecting the art of stomping, let my child scream for almost an hour in Super K-mart because the shopping HAD to be done, spent WAY too much money on said trip trying to hush him and the MOST IMPORTANT thing I have NOT done this week....Hit a milestone of LOSING 13 POUNDS!

So this is not my best "Not Me! Monday" post, but I think you will just have to deal with it today. It IS Monday after all! :) Hope yours is LOVELY!
