Wedding gift

My friend Ginna just recently got hitched! I decided I would make her something personal, Im goofy like that I suppose. Since I had to travel for this wedding it needed to be small and portable. So here is what I came up with. I think they are cute and hope you do too!

Things I have said this week

No Sir, we DO NOT put our hands in the potty!

Are you kidding me? You BIT my memory card!

Well, if you wouldn't put your hands in the potty, I wouldnt have to spank you.

W, that is very cute, but could you please keep your pants ON?!

Yeah buddy....you can potty like a rock star!

No, no, no, you misunderstood me. Im SANDING a chair, not STANDING in a chair.

No, you cannot put my cell phone in your pockets because you don't have pockets on your Mater undies.

Noticed a theme here? Yeah, the potty. W is doing SO well in potty boot camp this week. I know I am probably going to regret saying this though. I love to brag on my kiddos when they are doing something awesome!

By this time next week, my babies will be 3 and 9. Crazy how time flies!

I would have a whole SLEW of pictures to post, but SOMEBODY bit my memory card and I lost everything!!! Sooooo....guess I have to go get a new one and work on more October pictures.

October is FULL!

I love Fall. I really do. I love the month of October, too! But boy is it FULL! Every single year, no matter how much in advance I plan, I always feel rushed in October.

Both M and W have birthdays at the end of October. Along with Halloweeen, toss in some back to school functions and the constant changing of the Amry durring October and WOW! This month is FULL! This year it is more so because of Mike traveling and some things I have going on. I feel like October is overflowing already!

W has been asking to be Iron Man since mid September I do believe. I think we have a costume comming our way SOON from Aunts and Grandma's. If not, then he will be the cute little MingMing duck that I found in the clearance isle for 10 bucks. :P W is having a Monster Jam party this year. No, its not really Monsters, its Monster Trucks. The HUGE ones that look like Donkey Kong (his fave) and have names like Bounty Hunter (my fave!). We cannot wait for this party. Its going to be a blast.

M has yet to decide what she wants to be. It changes ddaily. I guess it does that with all soon to be 9 yr old girls. Everything changes!! her party this year is SO awesome for girls her age. We are having a friend that does in-home spas come over and give the girls mini-spas!! Little facials and mini foot soaks! Its going to be a BLAST!! She is sooo looking forward to it and I am too. I have never been much of a super girl, but M surely is and I try my hardest to make sure she has that outlet.

That is a basic rundown of our October. I know a post isnt really "complete" with out a picture, but today you will have to survive with out one because while W is so greatly napping, I am going outside to finally finish M's bedside table!! YAY!! Once it is complte, there WILL be pictures.

I made a ghost!!

I saw this picture a few years ago on some random blog that I happen to click on and it has been on my mind ever since! So this year, since I happen to have a random tomato cage laying around. I decided to try it.

Here is what you need:

2 ft tomato cage (for small ghost, 4ft for large one)
Hot glue gun (unless you're awesome and you sew)
White felt (24 inches across and 36 inches tall for SMALL ghost)
Black felt
Orange felt

Make a "ghostly" shape on your felt and cut it out....twice! Hot glue (or sew) the seams together. Cut out your ghostly face from the black felt and the letters B-O-O out of orange. Arrange them appropriately, hot glue them on and TA DA, you're done!! Slip your "ghost" over the cage and pop that puppy outside! Here is what mine looks like right now, but I think I am going to add some white (or possibly  orange) lights INSIDE the cage to make him "glow".

Our ghost got some purple lights to spunk him up a little. I wanted to take the picture outside, but we have this AWESOME (not really) street light that shines right on his little ghostly face! So the lights don't show up too well. But is sure worked INside!

Happy Haunting!!

The computer chair

So I thought I was going to be all dandy and snazzy and do a "How To" post....yeah...NOT! Hope you were nto expecting a step by step or anything because, it just didnt happen that way. This morning was spent between Drs offices, errands and sick babies and hubbies. So....how much mommy time did I get? Enough to pick up some AWESOME fabric for M's chair and a few other crafty items for another project I am working on. So...want to see the chair?? I knew you did! Here it is....

Thankfully the back popped apart rather easily. I was SO scared it wouldnt and I would actually have to buy the iron on stuff to fuse seams simce, you know, I have yet to learn how to sew. But it popped right off and I was able to use my handy dandy staple gun that has been with me since I got married. :P
Here is the bottom of the seat. i know thats exactly what you wanted to see. I aim to please, ya know?!
Yup, it was just a little dusty! We took care of that...and daddy's boots back there took care of a spider!
Finished product. Dont you LOVE her?! I do!! I am SO thrilled witht he way she turned out! M really liked her too and took her to her room and did her homework with out too much complaining.
This is just to show how the back looks. Pop on, pop off....I call it a lucky find!

Halloween wreath

I got this idea from my friend Allison over at A Glimpse Inside. I would LOVE to link you to her, but my linky thing is not working right and it is seriously making me angry!! So I will just giver her credit here and once my linky thing is working again, I will send you over there. She is an AMAZINGLY talented person and a great friend!!

Anyhow, here is my very first Halloween decoration of the season. I am SO excited about this and it only cost me 5 dollars for decorations in the Target dollar section, plus the cost to make the wreath ( 8 bucks total I think).

I LOVE how it turned out and cannot wait to add more fun Halloween things to the front of our home.
